The Speak Louder Project---{small update}

I wanted to clarify that all PayPal donations that go toward the purchase of a pair of shoes for these kids in need, will go through Heart of Praise Worship Center in order to be made tax deductible and for accountability.

The Speak Louder Project comes from a desire to encourage others with opportunities to make their actions speak louder than words.

What exactly does that mean?

Well, It really doesn't take much, it just requires a simple act....helping someone to their car with groceries, taking a shopping cart back for a mother of 3 ;)... buying a friend a cup of coffee, going through your closet and giving away some clothes, cutting your neighbors grass, writing an encouraging note... giving of yourself where there is a need.

It is simply about random acts of kindness, each day. Showing God's love just by going a little out of our own way.

A simple act.

I would be lying if I didn't say that this first step in the "Speak Louder" project isn't completely out of my comfort zone. Putting myself out there with the "risk" of failing...It's something that I have battled with all of my life...the fear of failure. So rather than trying, or taking the steps forward, I just wouldn't.

But, this is not about me at all, or about my fears and insecurities. This is about a need....these kids, who live in one of the poorest zip codes in the nation have a need....and that is a pair of shoes.

I'm praying and believing that by me taking this step forward, that need will be met. And I need your help to make it happen.

Who knows where your simple act and contribution could lead... a pair of new shoes on a teenager could give them the confidence they need to walk a little more boldly, to show God's love themselves through the testimony they will then give.

This is larger than me. This is larger than you. It is about ONE MOMENT, one decision, leading to a destiny.

I will give an update with where we are in our goal in the next couple of days...Please pray and be led -not by emotion, or by my words, but by your heart and a desire to give, to make a difference, to act.

And please, check out Agora Ministries to see exactly where your donation is going to go.

Be moved and then move.

"The Mission of AGORA Ministries is to ENCOURAGE, EMPOWER, EDUCATE, and MENTOR disadvantaged children and "at risk" youth in our area. We will help clothe and feed those in emergency need, with love, care and dignity, and offer HOPE for success to all that we come in contact with."
