hope and future

 Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you Hope and Future.

I've clung to these words many times in my life. And even now, I cling to them.

Life is going to happen. Bad things will happen to good people. Fires. Hurricanes. Floods. The loss of a child. A Job. A wife or a husband. We will experience pain. We will cry. We will hurt and we will struggle.

But guess what. There is hope. Even in the darkest skies and at our weakest points. God is there. Giving us Hope and promising a Future.

It's easy to stand, believe, claim and receive God's promises when they are freely given. When there is no struggle. When we aren't in lack. When the sea is calm.

But when the storm comes....And it will come. What will you cling to?

I am so thankful for my hope in Him. The beautiful "future" he brought, and continues to give with each new day.

Sweet Aly from Blossom and Vine, designed this print to go into 25 memory boxes for little girls.

And my dear friend Mallory who has an etsy shop called, Cottonwood Lane designed these to go into the 25 boxes for baby boys.
Project Hope Jeremiah 29-11

These will be printed into 4x6 prints that can be framed. What a perfect reminder of God's plans for us.

If you are looking for ways to donate to Project Hope, their are lots of options! We are still in need of the following items:

-Small Crochet Hats and Booties---we do have some being donated, but can use more.

-Small lovie blankets--these would just be small square blankets that can either be kept as a memento of the baby, or passed on to future babies like we did with our lovie bear to Mia.

-Hand Stamped "Hope" tokens--- We have 40 being generously donated by 2 different shops and need 10 more.

-Charms---Either a heart or cross.

If you have an item you think would be perfect for these memento boxes, please feel free to email me with ideas. I've already received some great ones and can't wait to show them to you all!

I have also added the option to donate via paypal. Just click on the "donate to project hope" button to the right. Any monetary donations will go toward the purchase of the boxes as well as supplies for decorating them. Our goal is 50 boxes. The boxes are 4.99 at Hobby Lobby.  Also, 10% of all online Splendor Shop sales from Oct 15th to Dec 15th will go to Project Hope.

If you have a blog or shop, a minimum 10$ donation will get you a spot on my sidebar from now until December 15th.  Email me for details. bitsofsplendor {at} yahoo {dot} com.

I've gotten a little overwhelmed with some things on my heart lately, along with getting caught up with emails and organizing donations etc. etc. etc. But in the middle of it all, I just opened up an email from a girl named Brie. She and her husband are making heart shaped pieces of wood that will be hung with ribbon for the memory boxes. Her husband actually cut these little hearts out himself. Looking at the pictures of these sweet people working hard on something that will go to women who they may never meet. A woman like myself. Gosh, it just humbled me and brought me to tears.

I am so grateful. So blessed. So honored to be used to connect people like you, with women who need hope. All for His glory.
