Birthday Planning

Mia will be ONE in about 2 weeks. I'm sort of in shock, slash denial. I still refer to her as my newborn. I should probably stop that now. Since, she is full on climbing stairs, saying words and is *this close* to walking (oh be still my heart).

Yeah, she's not my newborn anymore.

So I'm in birthday party planning mode. And I can either blame Pinterest for this headache I have now, or my blueberry cheesecake scentsy that is burning. But I think it's pinterest. The combination of utter fascination and plain over stimulation has done me in. And I'm also now starving and need someone to make me some Reeses Krispies. Seriously? Reeses Rice Krispy Treats? Heaven.

Here are some sweet ideas I would love to do and some of the inspiration for her party..

I love everything about this cake. If only I could make it look just like that but I may attempt a small version of it.  Emphasis on the word version.

First Year in Pictures

Ok, how perfect is this little set up? Super unrealistic but in a fantasy world? perfect.

 Love these colors together

Rainbow cake in a jar? sure!

Handmade Party hats.

Fabric Banner and little cake bunting

And lastly, this has nothing to do with birthday parties, but I came across this and pretty much think it is GENUS. Totally going to do something like this in Mia's room. It's a curtain rod between the crib and the wall, made into a tent!
*Edited to add, it is actually pvc pipe which would be just as easy, but now I'm wondering if a curtain rod would work too?

Happy Friday My Friends.
P.S...I will post about my thankful on paper with next weeks, I haven't had a chance to give my person her note yet!

  1. That tent looks more like PVC pipe than a curtain rod. But I love that too! It'd be so easy!
