Target is the place to be right now, y'all.
I mean it's always the place to be, obviously, but they have not disappointed in the good finds lately.
Just as I was walking to the checkout the other day, I spotted this maxi skirt and thought I liked the versatility of the rust color. I was picturing it with so many different tops and looks already. And then I saw the red clearance sticker and that it was only 12 bucks.
I always look for pieces that I can get a lot of use out of. Granted Target is not on the high end side of things, their clothes for the most part, hold up pretty well over time. So to me, it is always a good option when I'm shopping. Right now, all the stores are having crazy good sales, so it's a great time to stock up on versatile pieces like this skirt.
I wore it Sunday to church with an over sized top I bought a couple of months ago at Old Navy when it was on some crazy clearance. It's turned into one of my favorite tops. I love how it falls off the shoulder and how roomy and comfy it is, while still looking put together.

The shoes were also a Target find. On sale for 50% off and they are still there. I may or may not have been there last night and saw plenty of them left. These will look good with flared jeans, {I will always love me some flared jeans} or some cuffed boyfriend jeans too.
I wore the same skirt again yesterday with a white tank and leopard scarf, for a whole different look. I got to meet my sweet friend Ashley from The Vanilla Tulip. She and I have gotten to know each other in this crazy little blog world and she was here on a trip with her husband over the weekend. We met for breakfast on the Riverwalk and even though I got lost downtown {cause homegirl never drives downtown} it was so worth it. So much fun to meet her and hug her in person. She is just as sweet as you would imagine her to be!
I have a couple of motto's when it comes to how I dress. 1} if you like it, wear it. Even if you think it doesn't "go" but still like it...wear it and pretend it does. Everyone else will think it does if you do too. And 2} Just because you can't necessarily shop at the higher end stores right now, doesn't mean you can't dress like you do. Putting outfits together has nothing to do with your budget and everything to do with your own style and being confident in it. No one cares if you spent 12 bucks on a skirt or 120$. At least they shouldn't. And if you wear it with confidence and put together right, they will never know the difference anyway.
So go get yourselves some good clearance finds and rock em, my friends.
Happy Wednesday
